Yesterday was an unexpectedly good day. Unexpectedly, yes, even though the polls told us it would happen. Fifty-four senate seats (and counting): well more than the conventional wisdom (or I) even thought. A mea culpa here. If you are one of the three people who read my predictions post, I vehemently argued that there was no way for the Democrats to take the U.S. Senate. Where do I go wrong? Well, for starters, I did not expect that the president would be fucking stupid enough to start a war in the Middle East for no reason whatsoever....
